Support Lives. Support Healing. Support This Year’s Warriors Way Auction.

At Palmgren we believe deeply in service, not just because we’re a sponsor of Warriors Way, but because we believe in the value of standing behind those who have stood for us. That’s why we’re proud to support Warriors Way, a nonprofit whose mission is critical: every veteran they serve gets 100% free access to programs that help them heal, thrive, and reintegrate. No cost. No barriers. Just help when it’s needed most.

Why This Year’s Auction Matters

This year’s auction is more than a fundraising event, it’s a lifeline for Warriors Way’s operations for the coming year. The funds raised will directly support their capacity to keep providing free, high-impact programs for veterans, first responders, and youth. Community support is essential. Without it, the mission stalls.

The Stakes Are High: Veteran Suicide & Healing Services

The need is urgent. According to the latest data from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA):

  • In 2022 there were 6,407 suicides among veterans in the U.S.

  • That works out to about 17 veteran suicides per day on average.

  • The age-adjusted suicide rate among veterans is significantly higher than among non-veteran U.S. adults — one report notes it’s about 71.8% greater for veterans in 2021.

These are not just statistics, they represent mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends, teammates. They show a spectrum of need: mental health, reintegration, community, purpose.

Warriors Way addresses that need by giving veterans and first responders a pathway to purpose-filled, hands-on healing: forging a knife,  working with their hands, reconnecting with community. As David Bates, the founder, explains: “This isn’t just hobby therapy, it’s recreational therapy with intentional healing.

Proven Impact in Our Community

Here in Lima, Ohio, Warriors Way has grown in five years into a facility that reaches hundreds of veterans, first responders and youth. They’ve helped save 29 lives since starting this organization. That kind of life-saving impact is exactly why we at Palmgren are honored to be sponsors. Our tools support the knife-making classes; our partnership supports the mission.

Why Warriors Way

When veterans and first responders return home, their mission doesn’t always end, their battle often continues in the shadows. Warriors Way gives them a place to redirect their focus, rebuild through craft, connection, and purpose. With our community’s backing, they don’t have to face that battle alone.

We at Palmgren are proud to stand with Warriors Way. Will you join us? Let’s make this year’s auction the one that keeps the doors open, keeps the programs running, and keeps every veteran told: “You matter. You are not alone. We’ve got you.
