Blade Show in Atlanta 2023 Raises $5,400 for Building Homes for Heroes
This year was full of many incredible experiences at the 2023 Blade Show in Atlanta. We were overcome with excitement to see all the talent the blade smiths brought to the tables. 900 exhibitors in two showrooms, there was something for everyone in attendance. Many big names made appearances along with many unforgettable and creative booth expos brought the large crowds in. We were not only proud, but excited to be part of the dynamic.
As a company, we love what we do but most importantly we love seeing how our tools help those in the blade making industry. We look forward to seeing what they create with Palmgren tools. This event showed us what great partnerships we have forged throughout the years and how proud we are of the businesses and their craftsmanship. The powerful stories shared over the weekend and in how our products benefited them. This is why we are in this industry, businesses helping businesses. We continue to listen to our customers… how we grow with them and provide the best quality equipment available. We wouldn’t be who we are without the continued community, support and trust that each and everyone of you provides.
For the 2023 Atlanta Blade Show, we wanted to do something bigger than us and show our appreciation. We partnered with Tyler Hackbarth, two-time winner of Forged In Fire, on a one of a kind Damascus Dagger. This piece was crafted using many of the products we offer. The real impressive part was filming Tyler as he constructed this work of art at Wolf River Forge in Wisconsin. In the two and half days we spent there, we came up with a plan that was a BIG WINNER all around. The purpose of this knife was to bring awareness to a great cause for veterans struggling on hard times. Being an army vet himself, Tyler wanted to give back to his community and we were happy to support this idea. We created a raffle for the dagger, that would highlight Building Homes For Heroes. We would give 100% of the proceeds to their organization, but as a company, we would match dollar for dollar in the efforts to raise more money and attention to this very cause.
We are so humbled by the turnout and the outpouring generosity from the Blade Show community, donating and purchasing raffle tickets in troves. We couldn’t be anymore appreciative in what we saw. As you may or may not know, much of the blade community are veterans themselves. They have found a voice and outlet through their work. Seeing first hand and learning all we did this weekend, we can’t help but become overwhelmed with emotions, to see the positivity that comes from this art form and an event like this. Through the bonds we grew from up and comers, as well with familiar faces from hit series such as Forged And Fire and Naked And Afraid, we are proud to say we made dreams become realities. At the end of event, we helped raise $5,400 towards Building Homes With Heroes.
So once again from the bottom of all our hearts here at C.H. Hanson and Palmgren, thank you for playing a big role into this great event.
